Kevin Garnett Good Player but a Bad Person

I guess Kevin Garnett thinks he can just throw around cancer like a joke. Is Charlie Villanueva cancerous to his team? I don’t really care. Kevin knew what he was saying regardless of how it was worded.

Garnett was never a favorite of mine. Players that need trash talk to back their game are just bullies. Bullies are prominent in high school and disappear. I bet Garnett wishes this controversy would vanish too. It won’t. He knew what he was referring to when he said WHATEVER it is he said to Villanueva when it came from his lips. Kevin, despicable you! He crossed the line to say the least and I’d love to see this fight that Charlie has called for. Where is the line? A derogatory statement doesn’t make you a bigger man, your play does. Kevin was trying to get a rise out of Charlie and he did. I was totally against tweeting during games but now it has brought the true Garnett to the light.
[picappgallerysingle id="8446312"]
Perhaps the aging player needs distasteful words to keep his game going strong. Maybe he thought Charlie wouldn’t tell people about his gross reference. Well Kevin, he did. I don’t care if he broke the rule of “what happens on the court stays on the court.” This can bring a valuable message to the youth athletes in the world. You’re word is who you are. Obviously, Garnett shows no boundaries. I haven’t seen any interviews from the tall Celtic forward. Don’t expect one either.
[picappgallerysingle id="9083407"]
Talk about cancerous to a team. I hope Kevin enjoys his riches, ring, and fame. I, along with many sports fans, will forever relate this slur to Kevin Garnett. I feel sorry for Charlie Villanueva and his condition. Moreover, I feel for those who Garnett knows that have serious conditions. Apparently, it can also be something to get a player miss a shot or have a bad game. What else is inbounds to intimidate a player? I don’t even want to know.

Strikes one, two, and three and I’m out!

Strike Three: Lakers Lakers Lakers

Well that games wasn’t close. Not time to panic for the Celtics but you did get poned. I still think the Celtics fair the best but game two is one that needs to be stolen.
[picappgallerysingle id="9024250"]
Most teams that win game one go on to win it all. The Celtics looked rather old and Kobe was in prime form. Could he win his fifth? And if he does is he almost what Jordan was? Calm down I know. I still think the Celtics will win this series but they need to steal a road game.
[picappgallerysingle id="9024249"]
I think that Boston can win all their home games but let’s go back to Kobe. Is he really about to win five? Jordan had six and then left. Kobe isn’tgoing anywhere. Neither is his team. Let’s say Jackson stays around for another go to get Kobe his sixth or maybe even seventh? When do we crown Kobe (an dethrown LeBron who can’t even win one finals game).
[picappgallerysingle id="9024278"]
All I’m saying is the discussion of Kobe better than Michael will begin if he gets this one. And we aren’t that far from those talks. Jordan fans, start wearing your green and white.

STRIKE THREE AND I’m OUT

The Machine

Albert isn’t in much of a “slump” anymore. I put slump in quotation marks because unlike most players, he doesn’t really falter.
[picappgallerysingle id="8923239"]
His three homeruns today were enough o give the Cards the series against their NL Central rivals. The cubs seemed to be relatively over matched this weekend. The win they knew they were getting came easy off of the Red Birds rookie call up.
[picappgallerysingle id="8870051"]
Yet, the other two games were no contest and the Cubs went down without a whimper. Pujols has now hit three homeruns in a game four times!
[picappgallerysingle id="8861015"]
Also, he has hit over 40 big flies against the Cubbies. Boy does he love to play these guys. So does Ryan Ludwick. Last year Luddy was hitting flies all over the Cubs and he didn’t disappoint this time either. The Reds better watch out for the Cardinals come tomorrow. It’s the first of a three game set in St. Louis. STRIKE ONE!

Kendry Morales can’t feel good. He broke his leg jumping up and down after a walk off. This guy has it all. Or at least he had it all.
[picappgallerysingle id="8952327"]
You can’t do stuff like that. We saw Prince Fielder do that ridiculous dance last year on a walk off and get plunked the next spring by Barry Zito for it. I have to admit I get sick of this crap in baseball. This is our national past time and there needs to be respect for this game.

Babe Ruth wasn’t doing this stuff and neither should the players of today. I mean, right now these guys are good players but they aren’t great. If it’s Barry Bonds tossing the bat that’s fine. He earned it. As for Morales, he doesn’t even have 80 career bombs. Most people east of Cali might not know who he is.
[picappgallerysingle id="8924850"]
Now, he is a youngster with talent. But listen, I bet you he won’t be dancing next time he rounds the paths. STRIKE TWO!

I do have a prediction for the NBA Finals. I hope we get seven of ‘em too. The Lakers are going down to the Celtics in seven. I have faith in the team that won it just two years ago.
[picappgallerysingle id="8955325"]
Yes, they are a little older. That does matter in basketball I know. But they have the experience too. Garnett looks primed for another one. Rondo has been unbelievable in this post season. Kobe is unstoppable too. That’s a given.
[picappgallerysingle id="8945295"]
However, teams have proven that you can beat the Lakers even when he performs. You aren’t going to stop him. You aren’t going to limit him. But you can control what the rest of the team does. That’s how the Celtics are going to do it. It won’t be easy, that’s a no doubter. Celtics in seven. STRIKE THREE AND I’M OUT!

The Magician

Dwight Howard was ruthless. He did not stop until every Hawk went down in just four games.
[picappgallerysingle id="8756687"]
Not that Howard was dominant in game four but he didn’t need to be. Vince Carter stole the show with 22. But did you see the series. It was gross. Now, if the Celtics and Cavs go to seven games the MAgic should come in and knock down the door. Weeks ago we were anointing LeBron for being the two time MVP and probably one time NBA Champion. Now, there’s work to be done. And who is going to stop number 12?
[picappgallerysingle id="8723027"]
Howard shot nearly 85 percent from the field. He was a rebounding magician and was blocking shots left and right. It is no wonder they call him superman. But will the superman of old comedown on Dwight? Will Shaq show up and stop him? I’ll be waiting to see. Of course, Cleveland has to win first. STRIKE ONE!

Let’s talk about something fun. How bad are the Baltimore Orioles? I know. They’re awfully terribly the worst team in the AL East every year.
[picappgallerysingle id="8684883"]
Right now they stand at 9-23. Yuck. Their best pitcher is Kevin Millwood who is 76 years old. They have a bunch of guys who have had good years in 04 or 07 but were never consistent. OR, they have guys who are a little past their prime. Tejada and Garrett Atkins are prime examples. There’s adam Jones and their new rookie catcher but that’s about it. Can you name anyone in their bullpen? Cla Meredith the only mentionable.
[picappgallerysingle id="8684837"]
In 1997, the Orioles won 98 games but that’s the last time they won at least 80 games. In 2007, they finished second to last in the East which was the last time they didn’t finish last. In 2004, they finished third which was great! BUT that was the best since 1997 which brought us back to the last time they won 80 plus games.
[picappgallerysingle id="8525017"]
In general, it hurts to be a fan in orange. STRIKE TWO!

Tiger Woods is losing a swing coach. It’s kind of sad really. Nothing goes right for the 14-time Major-winning champ.
[picappgallerysingle id="4988474"]
Hank Haney has been around for a long time but he said in a short note he’s done. It is still rather unclear who made the final decision but Haney came out first. Woods has been in the media 100 percent of the time and this is just another setback. Tiger, can you just get this all together please? STRIKE THREE AND I’M OUT
